Re: Where's "Explode" in the States?

1. I have a life. Sorry, maybe you should try to find one too. They're great. You interact with real people, hear real music, prance through real prairies.
2. Whoa, Nelly brought something new. Kind of. She had a little variance on the typical singer/songwriter vibe. That's all. Folklore didn't change her formula much. At all. Nothing new there.
3. If you say her album was the only album released in the past 2 years to bring something new to music, it's obvious you don't listen to much. Or you're really frickin ignorant. Take your pick.
Listen to Medulla, and Real Gone. Two of the latest releases to bring something new to music (in a drastic kind of way). They've been released in the past few months, and are actually different. If you seriously want me to list albums from 2003 and 2004 I can.

And you people are silly...if Nelly wanted to do better, she has steps she can take. Get annoyed with her, not her management/record label. She'd speak out if it was them, and if she cared.

Nelly doesn't care, so why would you?
I think Nelly is beyond pop. Way beyond pop. Pop just means Popular music...it's not like she has the dancy rhythms of Nsync or Britney. She's got all kinds of instruments meshed together with meaningful lyrics.

I have no intention to get in an argument with you, throwing names around that I' ve never heard of does not solve anything. I think " Folklore " is the best you can get with new music nowadays. I completely disagree with you about whoa nelly , which in my opinion was a good but nothing more than a good album. " Folklore " is from a totally different catogory, it is original, new, and basically flabergasting. You have absolutely no idea who you are getting in a discussion with. Ocean Rain by Echo and the Bunnymen, realeased
in 1984 is in my opinion still the best album off al times, ever since that time. .I feel the way I feel for " Folklore" as if I was listening to Brian Eno in 1976 and to punkrock in the same year. You are only 19, have you ever heard of Graham Parker and the Rumour. guess not ey?????? I have aprox 17.000,- CD's and have always been open minded to any kind of music. You think you got it all, well here is my thought about you. you ain't seen nothing yet!!!!!!!! Now if you really want to get to know me , drop the F.... attitude and talk to me. For now I feel like I have been in a conversation with a kid.

man Verbose...not cool. Way to make someone feel really tiny. Does it make you feel better by thinking you know so much about "music." Listing albums of 2003-2004 doesn't impress anybody, honey, it just shows that you have no life because you've actually gone through the trouble of doing so.

Re: Where's "Explode" in the States?

Alas, I am not the one who sprouted off about all the music I knew. Someone else did that first. It's not my fault other people resort to PMs. If anyone is stupid enough to make a statement as broad as what was done before, then they deserved to be shot down. It's ignorance. And fucktardedness.

I didn't throw in any names you (Jumperjack) haven't heard of. I listed two album names by two HUGE artists - Bjork and Tom Waits. Anyone as much "in the know" as you should know who they are, surely.
If you honestly can't recognise that there are albums that brought something new to music in the past 2 years, that didn't involve Nelly Furtado, then I'm afraid you're completely deluded. Congratulations, you just wasted 20 minutes of my life.
