just an added point...there is no "hip hop" on the Billboard charts...it's rap...little Jon is an idiot...as are most of the bling driven idiots that make rap music these days. Life would be so much better if the charts were filled with hip hop. oh and Nelly rocks!

I have also known that Rap and Hip-hop are two different genres of music, yet many seem to think that Hip-hop and Rap are the same, although both may sound similar.

rap has more mainstream sounds and is more danceable. they rap about stupid things like Cars, hoes, beyotches, how much money they have...how many diamonds in their teeth they have...I find it hilarious when rap artsists try to be socially concious and talk about world issues when they sound so ignorant...take jadakiss's why...

Hiphop is sometimes socially concious. It's less about the dance beat. More about the scratching since Rhyming and Scratching a part of the elements OF hip hop. It's just music with a message or a story

Well.. And if she needs to change her music to be in US Charts.. I really hope she will stay far away from this charts..

Nelly's music is much more mature then most of the artists in the US charts.. I guess the reason for Nelly not being there it's just one:
US is too mind closed for another cultures.. I mean.. They're just mind closed.. for everything..
