haha, my story is funny...

I heard ILAB on the radio, and I didnt really like it at all actually, I wasnt into pop at that time but I think it was 2002 when it played on the radio and the radio DJ said, "that's ILAB from Nelly Furtado, man that girl is really hot, I'm lookin at her album cover now, you should check her out." well... like a month later we got high speed internet and I was thinking of all the cool places to go on the net, and somehow nelly popped in my mind cause the dj had said to check her out, so I went to nellyfurtado.com and started lookin at all the pictures, and man was I blown away!!

I wanted to hear what other ppl thought of her so I went to the forums, not really knowing what that really was and reading all the posts at those boards was amusing and I kept reading like everyday, and man were they busy, I could never keep up back then! I eventually downloaded TOTL and liked that one cause I had already heard it but never thought anything of it. but what really got me into her music was Hey, man! I loved that song instantly for some reason and downloaded a few more songs... about a month later I finally joined the boards and it took about the same time I joined here to finally buy the cd.


bottom line: I got into nelly furtado cause a radio DJ said she was hot. lol and what a difference that made

Ever since I heard I?m like a bird I?ve been in love with her I was like 12 back then and just got out of my britney face hahahahha, seriousley I remember that I went to the music shop everyday asking if nellys album was out yet, cause the people who worked there were waiting for it to be delevired. So when it finaly got there I listned too it and I only heard hey man! and I already knew I wanted to buy the album, and ever since I?ve bought it I?ve listned to it for at least once a month so I?ve been listening to it for about 4 years now !!!!the same with folklore I stil listen to it for at least once a month

I have to admit, I actually hated nelly when she first came out. I don't think ILAB is one of her best. but then I went away that summer and heard a lot of TOTL and the cd was cheap so decided to check it out and fell in love with everything.

I don't know the exact time when I first heard Nelly Furtado. But it was on the radio. I didn't know very much about her and only knew a few songs.
What me made love her music was Folklore(a present on Easter). =)

The first time I heard Nelly Furtado music must have been when ILAB was so successful around here.
I saw a short report about her being in Berlin at this time and about writing the song ILAB... and after that I saw Nelly performing ILAB at the "Harald Schmidt Tonight-Show".
But I have to say that then I thought there is nothing special about her, maybe I even disliked her... (It seems that I'm not the only one who felt like this in the beginning)

Everything changed with TOTL, this song changed my opinion about Nelly. From this point I remember her name until today... but I wasn't a real fan in these days. I liked more rock+metal in this time.

So I became a 'real' Nelly-Fan with her second Album. I saw her on TV with "Powerless" and thought 'this has been long since you have heard something about her'... but this time I got the Album (Folklore) and liked nearly every song! One month later I got Whoa,Nelly! and I was totally happy
In july this year I have been to the concert in Frankfurt (soooo great! ) and after that I signed in on some Nelly-Boards (after being a passive "reader" for about six months).

I first heard nelly in 2001 with ILAB and I loved it and then my mum bought me the CD and I liked all her music and then I reasherched her and found out what a beuatiful person she is and I'm keeping by her!

I always like I'm like a Bird since 2002 but I didn't know the singer ( Nelly ), and I always used to hear I'M LIKE A BIRD at radios but when the speaker spelled her name I didn't pay attention but someday I listened to Hey Man and I loved and I wanted to know the singer so I found Nelly Furtado

I heard I'm like a bird, and the other singles from woah nelly!, but I was young, so I only started listening to her properly when the first singles from folklore came out, and I was blown away by them.
