well, obviously i love nelly!

my favourite songs would have to be "thin line" with jurassic 5, SOTR, and Party.

my friends think i have problems and have forbidden me to talk about her in any way. they suck!!

my true opinion about nelly is not loved by some members here hehehe
it is that nelly is a very hot woman, but a reasonable artist. Surely not bad, but not comparable with my favourite artists.
Her song i like the best is still Party. But i very like I feel you and Iwillmakeucry too

JW is my friend, but I am one of those Nelly fans, and than again I am not. I bought " Whoa" when it came out and liked it, but nothing special. 2 1/2 years later there was " Folklore", all the rest is history, one of my fav. albums of all times.

Nice signature Jumper, ahahahah if only I agreed with it! as to what this thread is about, I love everything about Nelly Furtado, she is my favorite singer and favorite for her looks and personality as well, to put it short SHE IS A GODDESS!!!!! I cant choose a favorite song so I will say any song she sings is my favorite!!!

really? i am the exact opposite.

whoa, nelly! will NEVER leave my regular music rotation. it has such a fresh, unique sound. amazing. Folklore was okay in my books, but not as goo as whoa, nelly! but who am i to guage someone else's creativity and thought?? both albums are obviosuly her heart and soul.

i can't wait for the next one, though! working with Swollen memebers again, plus pharrell, k'naan and jelleestone! i am not a huge jelleestone fan but he has a unique voice. should be a treat!

Yeah I think you'll find that's the opinion of more of the people who have been here a while too. Whoa, Nelly! is one of my all time favourites and apart from the month after Folklore was released I've always listened to it more. Folklore just didn't have enough songs that connected with me. It was like a documentary on someone else's life rather than someone sharing the experience with you.

So yeah Whoa, Nelly is in like my top 3 favourite albums ever, whereas Folklore probably makes the hundred but that's about it. I just think it was a different style though and not that she lost her talent or anything like that. Just that most of it wasn't really my thing.

My favourite song is Legend and always has been. My favourite off Folklore is Childhood Dreams and to me it's a class above the rest of the album. My favourite 7 or 8 Nelly songs would be all Whoa, Nelly! except for this song.

Also yes there has probably been more topics like this than any other topic on these forums lol, but I think it's something people are always willing to participate in and that newer members are keen to read.

I guess for me I hold the belife that artist's grow with age and get better like wine....so meaning I probably lean twards folklore a bit more, but favourite songs have to do with the mood I'm in rather than the actual power of the song and hit ability. I think a couple of the reasons Whoa Nelly usually gets favoured over Folklore is because A. we first expirienced Nelly on 'Whoa Nelly",B. Nelly was single then,C.you've had more time for whoa Nelly to sink in and last but not least D. um....hmm.....um ok your thoughts here!

I know my idea of The reason why the first album was the favourite is correct because I remember my first Beer, how good it tasted and how other's have failed to take me to that special place the first one did, so in short terms you guys want her to put out a Whoa Nelly part 2 because your craving the joy and the taste the first album gave you!.....only one problem I cant revisit my first beer

Nah it's just that I straight out don't like some songs on Folklore lol, and there's only a few that I really like. When I've been listening to the CDs too much there's about as many songs that I skip on Whoa, Nelly! as I don't skip on Folklore. She has a wide range of styles and lots of diversity, which is a good thing. So there's nothing wrong with me not particularly taking to some of them. I think some people make themselves love everything when under normal circumstances they wouldn't be too bothered by some songs if it was a different artist's but sounded exactly the same. Artists grow and change with age, but it doesn't mean their stuff gets better and better. How about the Spaghetti Incident for GNR? Lol.

My opinion about Nelly hasn't changed since I heard "Folklore". She's just the best singer and artist I have ever been listening to.

I love like lots of her songs. It was "Folklore" that made me register here, though. I remember listening to this briliant album for the first time. That was quite an experience! The music was so incredibly different than anything I've known before that I felt in love with it at once. Then, I started rediscovering "Whoa, Nelly!", which I had bought a long time ago. I found it amazing as well.

There are lots of tracks I would put on my "Best Songs Ever" list. The top ten would be only for Nelly, however. "Island of Wonder", Childhood dreams", "Well, well", "One-trick pony", "I'm like a bird", "Scared of you", "Onde est?s" would certainly be there.
