Lol yeah you're gonna come across a whole heap more. At least you'll get to learn non-American English. It's basically a lot of simplifications and more phonetic spelling. I guess people who speak closer to British English find it pretty silly and pointless to spell some words differently for no good reason, but of course they're just spelling it the way they were taught.
Joey must have a lot of corrections there cos I rarely see any American English spelling anymore haha. I notice it pretty quickly cos both are accepted in Australia so you see both spellings everywhere. Although I guess when American English isn't accepted as proper spelling in Britain, then that's gotta make it even more obvious.

Lol Joey. I don't think I'll be using http://dictionary.cambridge.org/ anytime soon, thanks. "American" suits me well. Thanks for answering my question. It makes much more sense now. The first time it happened, I was like, "Oh, typo, whatever." Second time, "I keep messing that word up? Ah well." Third time was like, "Am I in the Twlight Zone? Maybe I'm stuck in one moment in time..." Lol.Lol, yeah PeeWee. I already came across the word, "humour" in this thread ironically. There's a u in it...a u! That's just plain crazy. Well I hate it! Names are also changed, f.e. singer David G-ray is changed into grey although his name is G-ray [without the "-" character of course]. Same goes for the band G-arbage which is changed into rubbish.
I vote for it to be turned off but then again Joey iz da Boss.
