Re: UK, US, Canada or Australia?

for me, i like artists from all places but i think UK release artists are my favourites (Traivs, Kasabian...)....most of US artists are lame except some bands like The Fray or OneRepublic or Green Day or Linkin Park.....in Australia i like solo artists (Natalie Imbruglia & Delta Goodrem) and of course Canada has alot of great names (u know for sure who im talking about )

Re: UK, US, Canada or Australia?

ah let me see which country of these has the best english singing artists or bands... let me see

ah i gotta say is Portugal LOL i'm kidding of course

well i think these all countries have truely talented and good artists and bands, but meanwhile i think a big majority of the artists and bands from USA are very commercial.... but i don't have nothing against comercial artists, commercial songs, on the contrary i also like to listen those commercial artists... because even if we don't like it, facts are facts we still living in a world where the USA is the biggest potency, a potency which overtops the other countries in almost issues from politics to economy, and also in music and in cinema industry... but this is another issue to talk...

there are good rock bands and artists in the Uk, like muse, klaxons, coldplay, bloc party, kaiser chiefs, who aren't commercial at all and keep the typical brit rock sonority...

canada and australia have great artists too... from canada i like avril, michael buble (i think he is awesome), shania twain (just some songs of her cuz i'm not a fan of her) and from australia i like natalia imburglia, the veronicas, delta goodrem as well...

but i gotta say this kind of question is always relative, because all of us have different opinions, different musical tastes and different ways to broach the music

sorry for this long post of mine

Re: UK, US, Canada or Australia?

Canada has a LOT of good bands, some of which are sadly no longer together. Finger Eleven, Nickelback, Our Lady Peace, The Tea Party, The Birthday Massacre, I could go on. I mean, all four countries have their picks, but Canada gets my vote in this topic.

Re: UK, US, Canada or Australia?

I'll say US just for Green Day... But I also like Nelly F., Michael Bublé, The Birthday Massacre (now jeje), Shania Twain, etc...

From the UK, I love Joss Stone, Lily Allen, M.I.A. (I consider her from there), and loads more

Oh and I also like Chilean, Colombian and Venezuelan bands, but I know you guys don't care about that jajaja

You can do that anywhere, you just have to know where to look.
