"Try" Promotion?

Since Nelly Furtado has been doing so much promotion on American television lately, I thought that the fans had to help too and make this her best single on the charts to date...

So, if possible, can we get some radio add dates and we all start promoting it and calling radio stations, requesting the videos on tv, and stuff? Please someone think of ideas to help....

mmmm...we can email and call alot of times to radio stations, also vote in MTV ,MUCH and that..but we have to wait for try release date

Yeah I think that is what is stopping anything from happening or being organised at the moment, we don't know when Try is going to be released yet...

When we know a date it will be much easier and the voting won't be for nothing.

Maybe the key is to email radio and tv to try and find out when it is being released? Then if someone succeeds in that then we can move forward in plans to vote for it etc.

I guess the other alternative is to try emailing CSM and seeing if we can get somehting happening that way, or maybe even Dreamworks... Like with stickers or other promo stuff?

Try gets radio adds next week... (24th)

I've only found that "Try" gets released to Hot/Modern/AC Radio on February 23rd..

It also says that on rronline.com, I think that she'll be fine on Adult Contempoary Radio... not too sure on the top 40 radios which is why I feel that we need to help promote it.


CT, regarding the single release date for march 2nd, which is that for? The UK, I believe?

hey CT, you gonna do another player comp for Try??? like what was done for Powerless...

Ok with those dates, we need to try and find out dates for the rest of the countries and attack radio stations etc accordingly...

Maybe somehting similar to Attack TRL that was set up a while ago?
But for radio?
If everyone can get the voting info for the popular/well known radio stations in their area then we can all get together and vote for her on mass at each of them...

Not sure what is gonna happen, I would love to do another competition for try with another promo player... we will see as dreamworks has no longer been accessable to me.

btw I will be sending out he prizes from the last competition very shortly. I was trying to get them signed but it doesn't seem like that is going to happen so I am just gonna send em out.

yea that is the add dates for try... it doesn't look like dreamworks is trying to get that played on top 40... I think they don't think nelly can hang in top 40 anymore... not 100% sure why... well all it takes is tons of attention too it then it will be added...

thanks for letting me know CT, I was wondering what had happened to that! Signed woulda been cool, but yeah I'd expect that'd be hard to get done...

that sux that Dreamworks isn't accessible to you anymore, it seems that Dreamworks and CSM are severing all ties or sumps! lol

If a song is gonna get Nelly back in the Top 40 Try should be able to do it, plus if we are given a chance to doing it then it should be sweet.


That Red Furtado thing looks cool, well what I can make out it is at least since I can't read most of it! lol

I actually think she'll do fine with the song on the Adult radio with their audience because it is a great song. but we shouldn't take that risk and let the audience decide for itself... we should help promote it.

With top 40 radio... I don't really see that this song will make it very far with the current audience without our help because most of the songs on top 40 is mainly up beat and like rap, hip hop, dance, etc.... So, we need to somehow find the radio add date and promote is hard!
