TOTP to return... with nelly .
Top Of The Pops is returning to our TV screens after a break of only two months – kind of.
The legendary BBC chart music show ended it’s 42 year run this summer in the face of terminally declining ratings – but, according to reports, the programme’s archive sister show Top Of The Pops 2’s format has been changed to include new artists. TOPT2 will now also feature live performances from current artists in front of a studio audience (what Top Of The Pops was, basically) – and will launch with a 50 minute special next weekend with appearances from Razorlight, Nelly Furtado and Jamelia. TOPT2 will then continue with half-an-hour episodes on BBC2 at 8pm on Saturday, according to the Sunday Mirror. |
