Suspicious Circumstances?
is it just me, or do you guys find it slightly coincidental that some of nelly's stuff has been "leaked"?
my thinking is that record execs put out samples and bits and pieces to not only preview new stuff but to build up anticipation. it's the word-of-mouth stuff from people like us that generate interest, and consequently, promotion. it happened with mariah carey and 'emancipation of mimi'. a song that she did with nelly (the rapper), 'tonight', was "leaked". it got crappy reviews, so she released 'its like that' instead. smart move. havent heard of 'tonight'? sure you have- they re-labeled it 'to the floor' so ppl wouldnt know. im just happy that nelly's people have brains and they're working this machine like butter. we're so lucky to hear this fantastic new stuff! |

yeah im not gonna lie im pretty happy the songs leaked... it's just such a treat because we've been waiting for an album SO long... also it's getting non-nelly fans hyped.. like my friend never used to like nelly but because of promiscuous she's been asking for any new stuff i may have found... and even asked if she could borrow whoa, nelly AND folklore!!
