Scared of "Loose"'s potential success

Of course I'll be happy for Nelly if "Loose" is a big hit but I know I'll be really disappointed at the concerts when its flooded with thousands of people unlike the "Come as You Are" tour where there were maybe a couple hundred (at least in NY) and it felt really personal and really connected with the crowd. I just feel like it might be a really big commercial success and everyones gonna be like "OMGOSH! HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEW NELLY FURTADO SINGLE!?" and we'll be sitting here like "......weeee've liked her for years now"

I hear ya... definately thinking the same thing. Especially after watching
all the interviews with her talking about how she's true to herself and music
and isn't commerical. I mean yeah its not her fault if the record company
actually promotes this time and the CD rules, but I would hate to see her go
totally Pop Commerical like all the other clones... I'd be really disapointed.

well I went to a Velvet Revolver concert and got smashed by 4,000 drunk druged up people behind me pushing there way to the front row, so I think Nellys concerts wont be that agressive, only problem will be to get your concert tickets as soon as you hear about her commin to your town and when i go to see Nelly my eyes arnt on the crowd there only on Nelly so I could care less who and how many are attending

i cant really be bothered with that..if Loose will be a very commercial and popular album (with all kinds of polyphone ringtones ) then that contributes to nelly?s popularity and her wallet too so thats good for her
for me it?s simple: if i like the music, i?ll listen to it, if i don?t i won?t. Except for Fresh off the boat and Forca, i listened to Folklore very very little.

Hm.. Even if Loose is a commercial album and get a lot of promotion, I don't think Nelly will be a really popular singer. I doubt she have another I'm like a Bird or Totl on Loose.

I guess her singles will be one of those songs we hear while we are drunk dancing on the night but we don't really know and care who's singing.

I completely agree!! I doubt she will ever regain the popularity of her Whoa Nelly days. Even then, her concerts weren't brimming with people. Her BITs show was still general admissions.

The real Nelly fans will probably be all the way up front at the concerts so we'd still have our private party I know I'm gonna be al the way up front right near the stage again when nelly comes back to Holland!
