Say It Right, in my opinion is the pinacle of Loose. This is what was intended with this album, to let go of everything, to get lost in the beats. A lot of the songs in Loose were recorded in one sitting, like AGT. That's the whole point of the album, to not overthink things, and that's why a lot of the lyrics seem shallow.

Nelly has stated they recorded Say It Right in one night, very late, that she was writing the lyrics as the beats were created, that it's very surreal and she's not quite sure what it really means. And also that they had a lot of microphones moving around the studio when she was singing, and that is why her voice sounds so hypnotic. That to me sounds like they achieved their goal of making a spontaneous and raw album, to get loose and be set free.

AGT is nice, but frankly after all the buzz I was expecting a bit more. It is a deep song, but it could be much deeper. It is a very sad and haunting and depressing song, especially in the end with the "and the sky was falling" bit, but I thought that Nelly and Chris Martin joining forces would yield a little more. If all the song had intriguing metaphores like the ones in the end, it would be much better.

I love Say It Right, when the previews of the album were leaked it was a song that instantly jumped out at me and made me crave the album even more. Everytime I listen to SIR i apperciated it that little bit more, it really is a great song. Love it.

AGT is a song that i'm slowly really getting into, but I still prefer SIR.
