The Prodigy: Live In Cardiff
So, there I was watching 'Dancer In The Dark' for the first time (film was recommended by Roddy
), really getting into it and I had a phone call midway through, I saw it was my mate but left it coz I watching the film. But he was persistent and kept ringing so I finally answered. He has a spare ticket to see The Prodigy, which has been sold out since the first day of sales!!! Needless to say, the DVD went off and the iron went on! WHAT A NIGHT!!! WHAT A GIG!!! ![]() Anyone who gets the chance to see them live MUST do so! They played most o their hits, with it being The Singles tour, but with a couple of ommissions, notably 'Girls' which my mate really wanted to hear. BUT!!! THEY PLAYED 'CHARLY'!!! Hahaha! EXCELLENT!! A few of us managed to get right down the front too, right at the barrier! Keith came down once and we all tried to reach him as he was holding his hands out and shaking others' as the gig was still rolling. My mate's mate managed to touch him, lucky bint, but I failed. MEH! Her mate was so happy she licked her hand! Haha! The place was wild and the crowd were really enigmatic! Probably the best gig I've seen all year. Really great! I did manage to take plenty of photos, but as ever I'm forever taking craps photos with this camera of mine when it comes to gigs. I have trouble getting a good image, maybe I should get around to reading the manual, I mean, I've had it for over a year. Haha! It's a shame though as I was SOOO close to the stage that me/my camera had let me down. I think a couple are OK, but I'm a little annoyed with myself. Meh. The Audio Bullys were in support, and they kicked arse too! Al in all and amazing night and an amzing gig! It was the first time I 'let myself go' at a gig in ages! So, hats off to The Prodigy! ![]() |

Re: The Prodigy: Live In Cardiff
Ooh The Prodigy would be interesting to see. I haven't seen them before. I haven't heard anything of them for a while. I was never a big fan of their's but I'd love to see em at a festival or something. Are they British? I was just surprised you two were fans. You don't hear much of them here. Oh hang on yeah I remember his accent in Firestarter. Oh yeah it's coming back to me I haven't heard them in years.
I hope Oasis and Foo Fighters are good. I saw Foo Fighters on The Colour and the Shape tour when I was abooout 15 or 16. They were my favourite band back then. Loved the first two albums and the third had some great tracks too, but I dunno they just don't do it for me anymore. I find them boring, but I think I might just be sick of that kind of music cos I say that about a lot of rock bands I loved around that age. I saw Oasis at Livid Festival here several years ago. I thought their setlist was lame (I guess they were trying to advertise new stuff or something) and they were really boring - not interacting with the crowd etc. They played at night and I was tired from the day and found myself wanting to just go sit down and fall asleep haha. They played probably my two favourites though: Don't Look Back In Anger and Hello so I was still pleased about that. When they opened with Hello I shot my load and thought this is gonna be awwwesome. So maybe I expected too much of the rest, or maybe I had no load left lol. I think they may be a band whose style of music I moved on from and so haven't listened to them in a while also. I have the What's The Story album on cassette haha. It was one of my first. ![]()

Re: The Prodigy: Live In Cardiff
Someone who looks like this could only be British:
![]() Ha! Yeah, I agree partly on the Foos comments, but I do like a few of their new songs, I really liked DOA. I saw them live last year (I think) but I was a little ill and couldn't succumb the energy to bop around, not even when All My Life came on, which was worrying. Ha! As for Oasis, you all know the deal. They're my fave ever band and I've never seen them live. Thankfully, since Be Here Now they've started to climb to greatness yet again in the quality of their work. The last album is fantastic and is probably my fave of this year. The stadium is a total sell-out of 75,000 (sold out in an hour, I think), so the atmosphere should be awesome. I'll definitely sort out my photo-taking before then. ![]() |

Re: The Prodigy: Live In Cardiff
oddly enough, I tend to take better pics with a disposable camera than my digital camera during a concert. Then again, my digi cam wasn't that great so I really didn't miss it too much when I lost it.
glad u enjoyed the show ![]()

Re: The Prodigy: Live In Cardiff
Oh you poor little kiddies.
![]() I sorta remember it but it didn't do too well here I don't think. Breathe was in the top 5 for like half a year here. I used to watch the charts every week back then and I'd never seen anything in for so long. So I remember it very well. I guess I was 13 or something.
