Portuguese/Spanish Album - Any Inicial Thoughts?

I think it's brilliant, this shows she still has her passion in music unchanged, and wants to do something new, and it seems to me like she wants to really challenge herself again, which is awesome, since usually people loose most of passion for music after success it seems. It's really expectable from her too, with all the talk of nothing being a one-trick pony...And I think it's silly when people say you do these things to sell more albums. If I was a musician, I wanted people from all over the world to listen to me, and try connecting with different people, I think she wants to tour more in Latin America too, it's a whole new world for her, and I find nothing suspicious about that. It seems funny how if you're spanish it's very natural to want to reach the english market too, but the other way around, it's just trying to be something you're not, but that's not true. I think it's natural for an artist to feel at home in different cultures...

But, I'd be really disappointed if she'll go for it without improving her Spanish skills, and just make some No hay Igual like songs. If she can put her "soul" into it, I know it'll be beautiful, and people will respect it, and not just say she is like Beyonce or Christina singing some light pop in Spanish...Onde Estas is great, but NHI really isn't, and Te Busque, maybe it's deeper than some songs on Loose, but she can do better... So it's really great she's gonna take more time to make it.

But unlike some of you, I don't want bossa nova, I can't stand it , it's like Latin version of some American music of the period, it sounds way too American... but all the other music styles from there I'd love her to do. And a little bit more of rock, I don't see why she never got more into it.

i love the fact she's releasing spanish/portuguese album i really enjoy her songs soo much more then shakira's i just cannot listen to her songs they just don't get me like nelly's songs in spainish or portuguese. I can imagine it sounding really wicked hot, nelly just more variety in her albums.

Definetely I look forward to hearing an album in Spanish (and in Portuguese too). The skill of singing in different language doesn't belong to all the artists and Nelly can do it. So why shouldn't she? I would also like her to make a little tribute to Italy by singing something in Italian but I believe it's just a dream of mine!

Anyway, I do like all her songs in Spanish. Even "Lo bueno tiene un final" is awesome (an so are "Te Busqué" and "Powerless" in Spanish)! Yeah, I would really like her to record this album in Spanish language..

i think Fado music is beautiful, and she could do it really well. just as she can do certain spanish songs..though i think she should stay away from reggaeton a little...maybe thats just me. i liked no hay igual a lot but i preferred te busque...i would LOVE LOVE LOVE an all portuguese/spanish/capoeira CD...i think she would do well with a bossanova style b/c some songs on Whoa, Nelly! have a bossanova/samba feel to them...

Fado is really hard to sing. Honestly I don't know if Nelly can do it, however, she tried.

i know nelly said she would never do another pop album but uh... let's face it her biggest album was a POP ALBUM and it's not like she has the final say in it... her record label kinda has to let her ya know? but as far as a full-on portuguese/spanish cd... i'm not diggin it incredibly but of course i would still buy it
