Pitchfork review - 6,4

here's the (scathing, as usual) pitchfork review

Re: Pitchfork review - 6,4

At least it wasn't reviewed by wookubus of thePRP. Otherwise it'd get a 3.5.

maybe we shouldn't bait people like this. let's try to keep the peace.
about the review: i can't stand this type of review that is focussed more on digs than on actual substance. yes, Loose has its weaknesses, but it also has its strengths. "Afraid" combines unique phrasing, thoughtful lyrics, and awesome production--the potential of this union of musical geniuses is showcased in this track. It reminds me a bit of WN days, but wth a new perspective. I wish Pitchfork had been more objective in their review, pointing out BOTH strengths and weaknesses. and no, this is not "right out of Tim's standard playbook"; he has tried to make this album unique to Nelly, and he has come up with new rhythyms...his musical timing is genius.

I agree with this article to a degree. Loose is a strange mixture of songs. Afraid is my favorite track by farrrrrrr. I also enjoy All good things and In gods hands. All the other tracks (in my opinion) are not her best lyrically or vocally. A good beat that makes me dance is the only thing the other songs have..

I agree to all, except, I like most of the songs. Doesnt matter what the lyrics say. she could have a song that only said F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck F*ck. . . and I would still love it. my love to nelly is unconditional. lol.

Re: Pitchfork review - 6,4

While I don't agree with everything said in the review, I understand why the reviewer says what he does.

haha. Well you know, Nelly did say this was meant to be a fun party album..maybe that is all it is suppose to be. I find myself dancing and singing along quite a bit. catchy tunes, just not much of a meaning. except Afraid, I LOVE IT.
