Photoshop Blending Help, Please! :)

Hi everybody!

Now, I've seen some of the excellent pieces of work you've guys have done on Photoshop with blending and was wondering if any/either/all () of you could do step by step instructions for me on how to 'Blend' pictures.

It's not specifically for me, it's for the Mrs, she's in charge of a website now and although she can use Photoshop a bit, she isn't very skilled at depth in it. But she REALLY wants to impress.

I'd be extremely grateful for anyone to give examples and/or step by step instructions for me to pass on for her

Hmmm have you searched for tutorials on the net? Cos they probably already exist and it might not be necessary for someone to do it.

I often see people asking about blending and I wonder what they mean. Do you just mean integrating two images so as to like mix them or to make part of one appear in the other or something like that?

How bout rovide two pictures you want "blended" and say exactly how you want the result to look, then people can do there best and see who gets it right, then they can tell ya how.

Today I sent her the Kelly Clarkson ones you did as exaples of what can be done with Blending (hope you don't mind). I shall get an answer from her tomorrow to see if it's in the right ballpark of whatshe wants.

What she wants to achieve and precisely what version of Photoshop will be nifty. I think I downloaded a whole heap of tutorials a while back so I could find or look for more again. There are so many out there. I've always just taught myself unless I was really lost though. Photoshop just takes a bit of getting used to, but once you now how to use the basic functions and understand layers, etc. then anyone can do it. Make sure you do use layers right from the beginning though.
