Well it's new to me and I like it! Next to the already rocking site Last.fm a mate told me yesterday about the existence of Pandora Internet Radio.

With Pandora you can explore to your heart's content. Just drop the name of one of your favourite songs or artists into Pandora and let the Genome Project go. It will quickly scan its entire world of analyzed music, almost a century of popular recordings - new and old, well known and completely obscure - to find songs with interesting musical similarities to your choice. Then sit back and enjoy as it creates a listening experience full of current and soon-to-be favourite songs for you.

Pandora is available in two forms. Both versions have exactly the same features.

The first form is an advertising-supported version which is entirely free. Over time we'll be incorporating ads into this version of Pandora.

For those who want to steer clear of advertising, subscriptions are available in two different flavours:

ANNUAL: 12 months of unlimited use for $36
QUARTERLY: 3 months of unlimited use for $12

When listening for the first time to Pandora it will stop after a few songs saying that you have to create an account. I haven't done that yet, will do at home tho.

Yeh I used this site too, Its the only real rival to Last.fm both of them being excellent sites, but the algorithms being totally different. Last.fm working on a kinda of popularity algorithm and Pandora actually analysing the vocals, beats etc.. of each song, and matching it will one you already like. They both take different approaches yet I have discovered music via both sites. Last.fm recently had a re-vamp, it's really looking gorgeous now, plus they updated their Last.fm software which makes things alot simpler.

Yeah I like the thing that the radio just plays on and on, interpreting previous songs based upon the by the user given first song/artist.
