P!nk gig last night!

So, last night, I saw a concert that rivalled every other live music experience I've had in my life.
I saw Pink. And she was awesome.
I've seen so many amazing musicians and artists over the past 5 years, such as Hole, Basement Jaxx, The Distillers, Michelle Branch, rubbish, Peaches, J5, Oasis, The Tea Party, Muse, The Darkness, BEP, Dandy Warhols, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cody ChesnuTT, and Incubus, and none of them even compared to the show that Pink put on.

Her setlist was amazing, and was as follows:

She didn't leave the crowd wanting more - and for the first concert in my life, I never found myself asking when it'd finish. Pink is the ultimate performer - she has the stage show, and she has the voice. Pink can do what she wants.
Hannah and I were just sitting there saying "She is hot."

During Lady Marmalade, like it has been reviewed, she has blow up dolls of the quartet who sang the song - and she ended up breaking Christina's arm, which led nicely into her rendition of 'Beautiful' which went along the lines of "You are beautiful, no matter what I say, my words can't bring you down" - never have I seen a crowd errupt into such applause - most ironically, the crowd cheering right then would have been a lot of ther crowd cheering a few months earlier in the same arena for Christina's show.

During Oh My God, there was a lot of pole dancing - which is something you could expect from a song that was heavily influenced by Peaches. It's probably the closest thing to a porn show I'll ever see - and it was enthralling. Definitely intriguing. Those girls are FIT.

Before the encore of Get The Party Started, Pink's band and backing singer played Welcome To The Jungle, during that, Pink came out and went into the audience, then joined into the song. Towards the end she was like "Do you know where you are?" to which the teenies replied "Melbourne!" to which Pink replied "Noooo, you're in the JUNGLE!!!" which had those a little older laughing.

During her encore, she was lifted around 15m in the air, suspended upside down and spinning wildly in circles. She didn't stop singing - she didn't miss a note. Pink is a performer. Pink is an artist. Even when she suddenly dropped 10m (accidentally) she didn't stop singing.

Pink put on a show I'm glad I didn't miss, and know, no matter what, I'll see her time and time again.
I WILL marry that girl.

Great performance, one of the best performances I've seen, but what made the night awesome was where we ended up sitting. Our tickets were one row from the back (my dad bought us tickets a week ago, when they cut prices in half), and we realised we'd never have a great view. So we made a decision. We got up, and walked to the other side of the arena. Without once being asked for tickets, we wound our way down to the third row, int he section closest to the stage and took two seats.
No one questioned us, no one asked us to move and no one asked to see our tickets. After we'd been sitting there for a while, we realised where we actually were.
The media section. We were surrounded by bands, footballers and journalists.

After the show, we went to Hannah's work. Pink's band went there for after show drinks (it's just down the road from Rod Laver Arena), but that, my friends, is a whole other story.

but yes I'm glad you went to that show Tal cause now you know what I have been talking about! lol

it is totally worth seeing P!nk live, it is amazing and you can't fully grasp the full concept till you have seen her live, there is nothing she can't do!

P!nk is also coming to Portugal this Summer for a concert and I might go and see it. Her last album didn't do too well but it's quite good actually.
I like her energy, she doesn't seem fake comparing to other artists.
