Do you mean we only use 10% of our brains ever in total, or only 10% at once? The latter would surprise me less, e.g. because multi-focusing is indeed a heavy task for the brain, especially the male brain Although there is of course also a lot of automatic, unnoticed brain activity.

Aparently its just in total.....i think.....not too sure, or perhaps it is once.....lol and that would mean females would use more of their brain...lol

we should bring back the serious disscussion thread...why did it have to go???

But i cant think of anything, something interesting, but serious at the same time =D

its not 10% of our brains i dont think ... its more than that (and of course it varies from person to person). Also women use a higher percentage of their brain than men ... which has advantages and disadvantages ... I think its something like 18% for men and 25% for women


about organ donation, im very much for it ... i mean your body is no use to you once you're dead (unless your religion states otherwise), but it can save others lives! i don't see how there's even a choice to be made

If the stereotype of women being able to do 2 things at the same time while men are not, is really based on how much of the brain is used, then those percentages seem logical. What would be the disadvantage of this by the way?

just things like it contributes to the fact that women are more prone to stress and having nervous break-downs etc. Women are also more likely to get addicted to alcohol and nicotine because it affects more nerve cells ... or something like that

I think men have/had two natural tasks, making babies and gathering food...which I guess they never did at the same time (imagine )..while women had all the time in the world to organise stuff, clean their caves, etc while taking care of the children!
I'm sure fire was discovered by women too..although the ideal scientist might be a hermaphrodite, being structural and disciplined and errorless like a woman, ánd explorative and daring and revolution-minded like a man.
Fortunately there are many non-hermaphrodites who developed all of these skills, otherwise we gender-people would never find a job in science anymore
