Music ban for singing neighbour

[LEFT]A WOMAN kept deafening her neighbours by bellowing out Starship's 80s hit Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now.
But now Lana McNeish will have to stop - she's been banned from singing loudly in her own home.
McNeish, 23, has also been banned from playing loud music and slamming doors in and around her home.
The City of Edinburgh Council obtained an interim anti-social behaviour order against McNeish as a result of her noisy behaviour.
Neighbours of the woman in the Restalrig area complained she shattered their peace and quiet by blasting out the Starship anthem and a range of Nelly Furtado hits.
But yesterday they were celebrating after the ASBO was slapped on McNeish.

One said: "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - hopefully this will stop her.

"She also plays Nelly Furtado's I'm Like A Bird I Wanna Fly Away - but it's her neighbours who want to take off when the loud music and singing starts."

Bosses at the council's antisocial behaviour investigation team had been working alongside some of McNeish's neighbours collecting the evidence needed for the successful order.

The first complaints against McNeish were lodged in June this year.

The council said she had continued behaving antisocially despite having been warned by their night time noise team on a number of occasions.

Yesterday, councillor Sheila Gilmore, executive member for community safety and housing, said: "This case reinforces the message that all residents have a duty to act in a considerate manner towards their neighbours.

"Nobody should have to endure the torment of other people's excessively noisy and anti-social behaviour."

i like that girl! Singing loudly? i sometimes do that but just after midnight, when everyone falls asleep (so noone knows what i do)

Oh my God!!! I would DEFINITELY get one of those!! I sing Nelly loudly (and horribly, cause I couldn't sing in tune if my life depended on it) constantly, every day. Thank God my neighbours are cool and don't mind, or they don't listen for some reason...
