Just found this story:

Furious over sexy shots

HER hit tune is called Prosmiscuous, but Nelly Furtado doesn't want to dress that way.


The 28-year-old Canadian-Portugese singer is furious with a men's magazine after photographs taken of her were allegedly doctored to show more flesh, reported Teenhollywood.com.
Furtado is insisting she never undressed for the shoot.
She said: 'I was the girl who'd said no to all that sexy stuff. So when I was handed a men's magazine with a picture of me half-naked on the cover, I felt completely shocked and then I just went crazy.
'The magazine had used a set of photographs of me in which I was fully clothed and superimposed someone else's midriff over mine to make it look as though I had hardly any clothes on... I wanted to make them stop the magazine. Of course, it was too late.'

This also happened about 4 years ago. I wonder if this rag is just reusing that story or whether it has happened again??

I think I remember that quote from way back when. Im pretty sure it is the same cover shot from the Whoa Nelly days.
I can't imagine that Nelly would be upset about her stomach showing for a shoot considering she is doing alot of that lately.

^ the point isn't her midriff showing, she has always showed her midriff. She was mad because the midriff wasn't hers and she had been fully dressed for the photoshoot and in the pictures, they looked like she wasn't

Yeah, but one thing is her showing what she wants by herself, other is having no control about what other people do with her own image... it's different, I guess

I agree that choosing to do one thing, and it being done without permission are very different things. My point was that at this time in her career, she wouldn't be the "girl who said no to all that sexy stuff."
She has clearly stated recently that is now OK with that kind of stuff. I was just using this as my reasoning for why it was an old quote.
