So... I'm going to be in Germany from 20th to 24th August. Can anyone tell me what would be the easiest (and preferably cheapest) way to get from Berlin (Schönefeld airport) to Hamburg? I need to be in Hamburg on 21st August by afternoon or so. I tried to google but I just got confused, I didn't understand anything. I'm eagerly waiting for your help

Oh and if there are places in Hamburg and Berlin that you think I should definitely visit, please list them here

You can travel from the Main Rail Station in Berlin to Hamburg, it'd cost around 40 €.
Check the time/travel dates on http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de and select english (it's on the right upper corner of the website). There you can book a rail trip, just notice you'll have to find a way from get to Schöneberg to the Main Rail Station, this won't be difficult tho, as the airports and rail stations are mostly connected directly.

In Berlin, the highlits are of course the Brandenburger Tor , Checkpoint Charlie, the Television-Tower, it's one of the highest in Europe and also the Government Headquarters are quite interesting, due to their architecture. I also recommend the Reichstag.

In Hamburg, you cannot miss the harbour, some city parts near to the Elbe River, the Dome, and so on.
