Nelly's Third Album

It's probably still too soon to be thinking about Nelly's next album... but that's why we're fans! HAHA. Nelly has said in the past that change is an important element of life and that her next album would sound different than Folklore the same way that Folklore differed from Whoa, Nelly!

So my TWO questions are...

a.) Which direction would you like Nelly's next album to go?

b.) Which direction do you think Nelly will choose for her next album?

here's my answer...

a.) I would love if Nelly experimented with using a real drumset for her music. A critic said once that Folklore had cheap sounding drum loops. I think the critic was just an ass but I do agree that drums would sound way cooler. Maybe it's just cause I play the drums so I notice it. As for the rest of her album I'd like to hear her funky hip hop sound evolve. After Whoa! she said she wanted her second album to drip like some rappers albums. I can't wait to hear what new energy she'll come up with next.

b.) As for what I think Nelly will do? I have no idea!!! I never know what to expect from her. All I know is that it'll probably be still with her own style, just optimised. Can't wait!

here are my "two cents", two answers, and what not...

a.) I would like for Nelly's next album to be eclectic, maybe she could go more energetic, or maybe even funkadelic.

b.) Of course, I have no idea as to what Nelly will come up with next. Nelly doesn't really tell the fans what to expect from her. It just comes up as time marches on. What matters is that she will "stay true to [her]self."

I would like an Acid Jazz album involving all sorts of rhythms, mixing some Thievery and Jazzanova with Nelly's vocie. Or maybe I would like some bossanova or brazilian jazz.

I read somewhere that she wants to do another full-out pop album, and then do a full portuguese album. I can see her doing something really ethnic, something really light again I think, after all this life-changing stuff has happened already, and yeah. I can't wait, I know it's gonna be completely different from whoa or folklore. It's gonna be good. And apparently she wants to get into the studio by november???

I know! I nearly creamed my pants from the excitement. then I went and counted the months from april 03 when she started recording folklore til it came out which were 8 and then did the maths to find out that if she runs about the same time in the studio, the third album should be out around summer. haha. but yeah... can't wait!

Only by thinking about her new album makes me really excited...

I have absolutely no clue what will the next album be like, but Nelly have never disappointed me so far and I think she'll keep it that way . Maybe she could try to go a bit towards rock (Some polish music critic said that "Try" it's a nice piece of female rock - that's what I mean) I don't usually listen to hip-hop, although Nelly kinda convinced me (a bit )...

I'm pretty sure that no matter what nelly does, it will be good. there's nothing she can't do. rock, pop, hip hop, world beats. it would be interesting to hear something a little more RnBish. I wonder what she would come out with if she ever worked with outkast. that would be amazing.
