nelly's music refrences
ok so this may be a little bit of a weird question, but can anyone tell me any bands/artists/music nelly has ever mentioned listening to/being influenced by?
especially around the "folklore era" and the "woah nelly" era  .

she mentioned that Jurassic 5 had helped her to kick start her career in hip hop, but im not sure if she said they were an influence.
i was listening to an interview with her the other day and she didnt really name specific bands, but just said that she loved to listen to rap and hip hop when she was younger! so, sorry.....

and Gar.bage, Nirvana.. I used to have this programme that went for about 30mins when she spoke about her influences as a teen. But the one's mentioned above were inclusive. She was also influenced a lot by all that hip hop stuff, as known.

Caetano veloso, Martinho da Vila, Tom Z?, Tropicalia, Delfins, Pedro Abronhosa, Santos e Pecadores, Da Weasel, Madredeus, Am?lia Rodrigues, Ney Matogrosso. (theses are only the portuguese and brazilian musicians!
