Nelly Furtado sings and speaks in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Hindi. She can play the guitar, the ukulele or the trombone when she is singing. She has a very good voice and her song lyrics have a meaning. On the stage, she has a very good performance: she sings; she plays; she dances hip-hop, folk, and funky and she creates a very good relationship with the audience. Everybody gets involved. There is not another performer like her. She sells her albums based on her talent but she does not give up her ideas about the world and what she wants for this world.

if thats so Gigi d'Agostino has played jazz too
besides the american definition of Techno and Dance differs from the European (my canadian cousin said he loved techno but it sounded like alien space music )

Plus all the other (mentioned above) ridiculous examples made me snigger. What I admire in Nelly's music is that it cannot be easily defined and doesn't necessarily fit in the current music trends, thus such classifications are both irrelevant and needless. A single song can represent several sometimes contrasting styles at once.

All that jo?o was trying to show is that Nelly music is very diversed,and multicultured.I don't agree with some of the comparisons but i must say he did a good job.
