You learn the darndest things when you spend every single free moment surfing the newswires. Shut up. I have a life. This is it. This week's interesting yet completely unimportant tidbit comes from The New York Daily News via I Don't Like You In That Way via Spinner (The other thing constant news surfing does is lead you to all sorts of blogs and gossip sites you never would have found otherwise. Why just last night I saw images of Oscar De La Hoya in ladies underwear) and that tidbit is this: Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado have bad manners. This is according to celebrity chef Guy Rubino, who has an Asian restaurant here in Toronto called Rain. Apparently Rubino told some people that Nelly made a reservation for 10 guests then showed up an hour late, with five extra people in tow and made all kinds of demands and was really rude about it so her manager resorted to bullying and Rubino told her to eff off. And Justin is bad too. "Rubino said, 'Timberlake comes into Rain, doesn't even look at the menu and shouts for random food that we don't make...If he knew what he wanted, why come to an Asian restaurant in the first place?'"
I kind of hope this isn't true because I really like Justin Timberlakeand want him to be a nice guy. Nelly Furtado I don't care so much about either way but I will say that the girl should go back to being a brunette. First she's all folky and loveable and then she turned a little raunchy and Promiscuous (It's just a song title! Don't you even think of accusing her of being a tramp in real life! How dare you imply that art may be representative of its medium?!) Then there was this, which is just WTF?, and now she looks like Nicole Ritchie crossed with one of the chicks from Vh1's Rock of Love, in which a collection of scantilly clad women vied for the attentions of Poison frontman Brett Michaels, which is fine, if that's the look you were born to wear but in Nelly's case it might not bode well for future musical projects. Or maybe it does...
Does that sound mean? I don't want to be mean. Nelly can do what she wants with her hair as long as she's nice to the kitchen staff.

Yeah, I think Nelly is a real mess right now. I just can't wait for the end of Loose so that she can have some time away from the cameras and rebuilt her image. Hopefully she'll go back to her old self... A girl can dream.
