Furtado cold on Martin claims


Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado has dismissed claims that she once had a fling with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Furtado and Martin, who is now married to Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, reportedly got very close when the 'I'm Like A Bird' singer was working on her last album in the UK more than five years ago.

However, Furtado, who is currently riding high in the singles chart with 'Maneater' has dismissed the suggestion that the pair were anything more than "just good friends".

Furtado remarked: "We used to be friends when we were doing our first album in England.

"Everyone thinks that the rumours are true, but no, we were just friends."
