I'm glad they went down on the price even though you shouldn't have to pay them anything. My and my friends have this list of people we want to beat up and now I'm putting Univeral on that list.

Well done to the lawyer and well done to you Olaf for not just settling for their initial offer.

It looks to me like somebody brought to their attention the potential profits in bringing to you this infringement.

I would advise to fight until you have to pay nothing, but there is risk in that and I think if it were me I'd be happy with what your lawyer negotiated too. There's no use in pointing out how pathetic they are because I'm sure they know and don't care, but one thing I'm sure they're aware of is if this turns into bad media it will harm them the most. When their representative said it would be best to settle it out of court and not in a big thing, this is a way to scare you with the word court, but also because they know if it reached court they would lose a lot of money. Anyway I'm just blabbering now.

If there's anything that us commoners can do than I'm sure there'd be loads of support for you here.

I agree w/you Peewee. I'm glad, Olaf, that your price has been lowered. Have you talked to your lawyer about giving the media attention to this? Like telling your local news about this? I'm not sure if that's a great idea, but who knows. I'm sure your lawyer already talked about that. Anywayz, congrats on the lowered price. It's more reasonable than 2200. I still don't think you should have to pay a damn thing though

About the media...I really don't know. I'm fed up with that and want to forget it, as soon as possible. Don't want to have more stress.
And our local press is quite loco.

Anyway, I won't buy any CDs from major labels anymore...I will download the songs as MP3, burn it on CD and send the artists 10 $/? directly in a little letter.
