Nelly to debut @ No. 1!

Nelly Furtado?s Dreamworks/Interscope album is letting Loose a torrent of record buyers. Thanks to producer Timbaland and the smash hit ?Promiscuous,? Furtado looks headed for a debut that could reach 200k, according to one-day reports from retailers around the country. That should still be enough for the No. 1 spot on next Tuesday?s album chart, not bad for the exotic songbird who made a huge impression with her Shakira-like performance of the song last month on Saturday Night Live.

What episode of SNL were you watching? If that wasn't Shakira-like I don't know what is. It certainly wasn't classy like her old performances. It was damn near trashy.

I ask you somthing similar, what Shakira are you watching?
I am not a fan of Shakira (columbian singer and not the pornstar you are probably talking about), but Shakira doesnt do trashy performances. The only Sex-type song she has on her new albums are HDL and La Tortura, everything else is like her old work.
I dont consider Nelly's old perfomances as classy, the only difference is that she does choreographies now and she dresses a bit differently. people change, and thats a very good thing, i could not of stand seeing nelly re-release another Whoa Nelly or another Folklore. Its like when you go to a restaurant, its stupid to order the same thing everytime you go.

And Shakira's been doing sexy songs and videos for years now. Nelly's outfit on SNL made me think she raided Shakira's closet and just pulled off all the tassels and stuff that hangs off of her outfits.
