My Star

You were the girl made for me in the stars
Insomnia was my companion and friend
For I preferred to stare at the nighttime sky
In the hopes that you would descend
Minutes turned into hours
Hours turned into nights
I never let you out of my sight
Seeing you shine was enough to make me smile
Enough to get through the day and let you make me smile again
There was a time when I couldn?t see through the clouds
Time passed, so did clouds, but my star was nowhere to be found
I prayed for a gentle wind to bring my baby back again
But the hollow remained, and the stars wept with me, in vain
Why was my star stolen from my sky?
I never got to say goodbye
I keep looking for the night to fall
Keep hoping for her to call
Keep looking at my ugly scar
I?ll always keep looking for my star

I immediately was thinking of a Farscape ep "Green Eyed Monster"

Whatever system they're in, he draws out a chart and gives the stars names of his own. The brightest star always becomes the centre of his chart, his constant, his guide. He always names it "Aeryn."

The guy who says this is John Crichton [played by Ben Browder] towards his love of his life Aeryn Sun [played by Claudia Black]. This for me is an awesome scene, John saying that his brightest star is Aeryn, the love of his life....although at that time it "wasn't meant to be yet". Heavily emotional....great, awesome!!
