Yeah, that's very good reasoning. In the case of The Nutcracker you just get bombarded with it left and right, so it's hard to ignore, and I'm glad for that, it's a very nice piece of music. The CD I bought also has the Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor Op 23 and the Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture, and I was very surprised when I realized I already knew those too. I guess these three are some of the most popular Tchaikovsky compositions, which would make for a very marketable CD

Yeah, the Carmina Burana (actually, the first and last movement, which are the same) are way overplayed and sometimes misused in the movies.

Re: Music Recommendations/News

Yesterday I was out seeing a little horse show, and they played spanish music to it, (well, obviously since it was Spanish riding style,) you know, the one where you hear a guitar-thing strum and play fast, and with a little melody behind. And I loved listening to it
So I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get either a CD with that kind of music, or an artist

I don't know if we've got that kind of music... I know my Mum has some French music, an artist called... , I can't remember the name... But that's really kinda classical and was popular years ago, I think, so I don't like it that much xD

Re: Music Recommendations/News

Noo. You say that? xD

But I have some recommendations. This is a norwegian band called Madrugada. And they have celeborated with another norwegian artist called Ane Brun. Ane Brun has this amazing voice!

Re: Music Recommendations/News

okay, kool

I have some remommendations too;
There's a rock/alternative band called Dúné, which should be pretty good, I've heard. I haven't really listened to their music yet, but I will some day.

There's also Alphabeat, which I like a little too. They're a little hippielike, or.. not really hippie, but they make some happy music, and have made some happy music videos. You'll know what I mean if you see it xD

Nephew is a rockband, which I like a lot. It's not totally rock, and their lyrics are really weird. Pretty big here in Denmark, I guess. They've made 3 CD's, where the first isn't really good, while the last two is fabulous (I think)
