Well you maybe already heard that Mariah Carey is going to release a new album. Well the title is "E=MC2" and it's first single is Touch My Body
It should be her comback single after her really successful album "The Emancipation of Mimi".
So what should i say of this first single? To be honest i'm a bit disappointed.. because this song is made just for the USA market.. there she wants to be successful..there is even a rumour that she will have a battle with MADONNA, who is releasing her new album in april too.. but if this is a concurrence?
About the song... i do like some songs of her like we belog together, get your number, through the rain etc.
But this song just hasn't her powerful voice on it.. and i think it's a pity mariah is known about her beautiful voice..
so what do you think? will it be a hit or a flop? The chorus is really catchy so some maybe will like it..

I agree with you, I love Mariah Carey, I have been to her concerts for each tour, and I have met her a few times, and i think what draws me to her is her powerful voice as well as the lyrics, lately she has changed dramatically but someone i know made a point the new single is the kind of songs that are making it in this day and age its what my generation and younger seems to want to hear in the clubs and i think mariah as an artist is changing to accomodate the times, but hopefully on the new cd she will take into consideration her fan base and what we like and look and expect to hear from her so that the cd is not totally in one direction. im sure there will be a few classic sounding mariah tracks she seems to remember what we expect from her
i cant wait....the emancipation of mimi dropped in april too...maybe its a luck thing but it sux to have to wait i want it now.. the new single is growing on me....

I like Mariah a lot, but this single is like a follow-up to "We Belong Together" and to be honest I find it a little boring. She just wants to be really successful in the US so I think she'll do amazing there. I thought her new album was going to be named "That Chick" but "E=MC2" sounds better. I'm glad that she didn't collaborate with Timbo and JT. Mariah is original and will stay like this until she really flops.
