Rumor Mill: Lil Wayne - "Party Control"


Wikipedia is a sheisty web site. As much as we hate to admit it, even its uncredited information tends to be correct. So that's why I'm a little less than skeptical that the Wikipedia entry for Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" says that the album includes a song called "Party Control" featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado.

Could this be the mysterious "Crowd Control", a song that was originally supposed to be on Nelly's "Loose"? The song was discussed in various interviews as a monster, even a single. However, it never made it to "Loose", as it was being saved for Justin's "FutureSex/LoveSounds." The official track list for the European version of "FutureSex/LoveSounds" included "Crowd Control", but again the song didn't make its appearance.

The mystery was supposedly solved with the release of "Give it to Me" from Tim's own "Shock Value." "Give it to Me" was assumed to be the elusive "Crowd Control" under a different name. But the appearance of "Party Control" on various unofficial "Tha Carter III" track lists still is strange.

Update:: "Party Control" is nowhere to be found on the official "Tha Carter III" track list. Wikipedia is shady!

It is still very up in the air if Party Control will be included in Tha Carter III. The release date has been pushed several times as you can read in his official website.

Apparently several songs and/or versions of the album have been leaked, which leads to further confusion about the track list:

Lil'Wayne had a tough time getting this one off the ground for the album was leaked in the early summer and the tracks have been available for download over the Internet since the leak. Surprisingly enough the tracks on the album have been tweaked added too and even in some cases, completely different than the tracks that wear leaked and have definitely made this album a must have especially if you got your hand on the leaked tracks.

The album also features four new tracks that were not leaked adding to the must have status of the album itself. Lil'Wayne employed some big time help on this album such as Kanye West, Scott Storch, The Runners, Timbaland, Mannie Fresh and will.i.am. He collaborates with some big names including Birdman, Enrique Iglesias, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, The Game, and more.

The most refreshing aspect about Lil'Wayne is even though he is a rapper, his style is not as rough ghetto as some of his competition. Light voiced and even has a little bit more of an acceptable approach to his lyrics he deffinately brings his own style to the table and even with some manners. Parents be advised, there are explicit lyrics on the album, not quite as much as your typical rap album but still, they are present and they are on almost every song.

The track "About You", use samples from "Owner of a Lonely Heart", which is a song i love. There is much more to this album and is worth going out and grabbing a copy if you enjoyed Lil'waynes previous works. The album is Lil'Waynes sixth studio release and will be sure to grab him some time on the airwaves. Tha Carter III is the sixth studio album by rapper Lil' Wayne. Its current rumoured release date is 2007. But still none of those tracklists include Lollipop, the current single, so who knows what the songs will be and how much the track list will change from now until the album is released.

Both Nelly and Justin Timberlake have finished touring and promoting, so the hype about them may die down during 2008 as they rest or work on new material. And if the record label keeps pushing the date, by the time the album is released people may already be sick of all the Timbaland crap (hopefully), so even if Party Control is really being considered as an album track it could still be left out as it could be considered dated or not relevant. We'll see...
