Musically, I’m a promiscuous girl—I’ve never been faithful to one style. But that song is sexy. I call it the 'BlackBerry Song,' because the lyrics could be used in a flirty text message.

When’s the last time you sent out a flirty text message?
Every day! What’s life without being a flirt?

Do you have a favorite summer song?
I grew up in British Columbia, and we spent a lot of afternoons driving on dirt roads going up to the lake. We were hippies, and I remember singing Van Morrison’s 'Brown Eyed Girl' at the top of my lungs.

Your daughter, Nevis, is almost 3. Have you brought her into your rock-and-roll world?
You have to expose your kids to what you do. That’s where your traits as a parent come out. I’ll never be June Cleaver, but that’s not a bad thing.

What’s the best part about being a mum?
It teaches you humility. Life’s a lot more fun when your toddler is throwing soup at you in a restaurant. You just brush it off and go about your way.
