I need an outsider's view
My best friend and My boyfriend get along, which is weird b/c my boyfriends usually hate her. She asked me for his number the other night which isn't a big deal b/c she just wanted him to pick her up some alcohol. But lately all she's wanted to do is hang out w/him and his friends...(Which last time I took her out w/all of us she made me look bad b/c she ended up screwing around w/his friend..but anyways)
I took her out to his house monday w/me so I could spend time w/him and her. Well his mom wanted him to pick up some food and I was talking to her so I told them just to go w/out me. In the mean time she's trying to get him to take her out to dinner and shit so they can have an evening to themselves.(she told me this, he said he's not going to do it) We're having a senior camp out tonight and I'm getting some people alcohol b/c I have access to it and I gave him the money and told him what to do. He was supposed to call ME and drop it off ME. But he goes and drops it off to her...b/c she called him. If I'm overreacting please tell me but I'm getting extremely pissed off about it and I'm sick of it. She has the rep of being...(And I'm not trying to be mean) a whore. Just please help. ![]()

Re: I need an outsider's view
Well from what you've said I wouldn't worry about your boyfriend. He sounds like he's just being polite and not out to get her or anything. Your friend, on the other hand, is going a bit too far. Trying to go out with your best friend's boyfriend for dinner alone is obviously never ever ever on the cards. That's just ridiculous and I think you should talk to him about how what she's doing gets to you and maybe he can help by not being nice and just going along with everything she wants, but keeping his distance if she wants to be alone with him etc. She sounds like an interesting friend. If she's your best friend I guess you should be able to tell her what you think of what she's doing, and you do have a right since she has been telling you she wants to be alone with him, etc.

Re: I need an outsider's view
I've been out to dinner alone with my friends boyfriends. Even best friend's boyfriend. It was purely innocent.
If you don't trust your best friend...maybe you need to rethink who you consider to be your friends. |

Re: I need an outsider's view
I agree with Tal, it all depends on how well you know your friends and how trustworthy they are. I have been out (alone) with friends (girls) that were in a relationship with other guys, but they still were my friends as well.

Re: I need an outsider's view
I go out with my friends' boyfriends as well... I just get along with them like I get on with my friends.

Re: I need an outsider's view
To be honest, I'd get a bit suspicious, I don't see why all three of you can't go for dinner and why she hasn't invited you also, unless she's planning a surprise for you.

Re: I need an outsider's view
I'm not saying it's impossible to be friends with your best friend's boy/girlfriend and to be alone with them. But from her explanation it sounds like her friend is actively seeking to go out with him alone.
I dunno this is just how I perceived what you said. I see no problem with boy/girlfriends being friends with regular friends. Definitely not and I think if they can't get along then one of them probably doesn't belong.

Re: I need an outsider's view
You're ready what's very possibly, a skewed perspective of the situation. To me, PK sounds like an insecure girlfriend and friend.
