how did u become a nelly fan?

I guess I could say I fell in love with her when I first heard the words I'm like a bird..I can still remember standing..staring at this godess singing the most unique and uplifting words I have ever heard in my life, so I think that's probably the time I really became a fan of hers.
I I think I say for eveyone that she's grown into a women who knows what she wants and she's gunna stop at nothing untill she gets it. and for that she inspires millions to reach for there goals just by creating something that makes people just feel good about everything..good on her I say!!!

I'm also a sort of "new fan" ... I fell in love with her music in march 2004 - that is to say very late, because Nelly Furtado is quite unknown in France (i'm french) - but I immediatly love her - and i bought her two albums. I felt something strange when listening to her music, something kinda euphoric but sad in the same time : it was as if her voice was full of hidden feelings, of unexpected colors ... I found that fantastic ... Since then I try to do a sort of "propaganda" among my friends to increase the number of her fans in France ... And when i think about what Nelly has brought to me ... "I hit my head ... and I dream ..."

i picked up the whoa, nelly ablum up after my girlfriend left me in 2002 not sure. i already knew about her but never bothered to listen to my brothers ablum. but when i did i fell i love. she made me relised that its improtant i relise my portugues background and promte it like she has done. she has made me a better person. and im happy and gald i have a portuguese mum and dad

i wish i didnt get in to her through losing a girlfriend how depressing.

but i got into her really coz of her looks that dark hair in TOTL and her clothes different colours pink and yellow etc it was somethink new and different even in 2002 for me. oh and coz she had parents from nere portugal and was born in a english speaking country me and her are almost the same.

ILAB was on MTV at my cousin's house and he had the remote and I was realllly into it and then he changed the channel smack dab in the middle of it!!! So of course I was really annoyed with him but he's a lot bigger than me strength-wise so I didn't take him on for the remote...just skulked away and frowned at him to let my displeasure known. That was earlyish 2001 I'd say. Then I was flying to Canada a couple of months later and TOTL was on those looped channels they have on planes, and I just fell in love. Got the CD in Toronto. Dunno why it took me so long to get to bits though!

when ilab became hot in the netherlands I wasnt so interested in music at that age. But when I heared powerles on the radio i became interested in Nelly and bought both albums. After that I think totally different about music.
