how did u become a nelly fan?

I got into Nelly when she released ILAB over here, and i saw the video and an interview with her on the Pepsi Chart Show, i was immediatly hooked, then my friend bought me her album and i guess the rest is, as they say, "history", i've been hooked ever since!

I came home from school one day and turned the TV on. I hadn't been listening to the radio for a whole month so I decided to watch some videos and get reaquainted with the music world. All of a sudden the ILAB video started playing on VH1. It was a countdown show so they were showing interviews and facts on the screen during the video. Then the song took over the radio and I said, "Damn, this song ROCKS!" I've been hooked ever since!

I first heard Nelly, on the soundtrack of "Broke down Palace", I liked a lot one particular song PARTY...Nelly Furtado, huh, never hear of her...time passed then I saw ILAB on MTV, I liked it so much, then I noticed it was the same girl, (but they didnt pass the video a lot, I only watched it like 4 times), and when I was with my bf I sang all the time ILAB, and he bought me the cd, I LOVED IT....and at work like I had so many time just scratching my stomach, I decided to look up for Nelly stuff on the internet, I found Shitontheradio.com and spend my work time chating with some other fans..THATS when I became a fan...then I found this forum..and THATS when I became a FAN FAN...a true FAN

I have nothing else to say. Naza summed it all up. When I found this board and was able to interact with other fans, is when I also truly became a fan .

I remember I was driving around running some errands for work and ILAB came over the radio... I guess I had heard the song a couple of times before - but this one time it really just struck a chord with me. I was totally feeling every word, and I remember thinking she was really amazing as a songwriter and a singer.

I couldn't get that feeling out of me, and her voice kept swirling around my head for the rest of the day. I immediately went out and bought her album after work.

I remember playing her entire album straight away at home, and I was really feeling tired and sick b/c it was end of the week. I just lay there and took in every single word she sang. I will never forget that feeling of hearing it all for the first time.

Then the long wait to Rumba nearly killed me, it was months and months!! But once I saw her live, that was really the epitome for me - that secured me as a Nelly fan for life!

hmmm... i was a fan from the beginning.. whoa... i started listenin' to her music since her first video came out for ILAB... that was a long ass time ago... then i went to her concert... she wasnt real big then... that next yr... everyone started noticin' her and shit

hmmm good question first time I heard nellys music was about january '01 when my gf bought the cd and started playin it in the car. After that we went with a abunch of people to see her perform at irving plaza and I fell in love with the music. I went out and bought the album and went on the net and d/l'ed any kind of live or unreleased perfomances I could find. I just got into all the internet groups around january of this year and now I make sure I catch every nelly concert that comes through
