Get 'Loose' with Nelly Furtado (Review giving Loose 3 stars)
this review was emailed to me, so i thought i should post it
 Loose Nelly Furtado .jpg) Nelly Furtado truly cuts Loose with her third album on which she shakes off the wholesome image to become an R ?n? B vixen and pop superstar. Teaming up with an eclectic mix of musical icons from producer Timbaland (previous credits including Missy Elliot, Jay Z and Justin Timberlake) through to Coldplay's Chris Martin, has all helped her produce an album far from the debut which saw her claiming ?I?m Like A Bird?.Loose is an album which crosses genres from pumping drum and bass driven numbers like 'Maneater' and 'Promiscuous', right through to a mid-tempo classic, with the help of Martin, on 'All Good Things Come To An End'. Producer Timbaland?s stamp is quite clearly all over this release, and if you take a look at Justin Timberlake?s Futuresex/Lovesounds, which features the same producers, the similarities are obvious. Timbaland even steps out from behind the control desk to feature on two of the tracks himself, rapping on ?Promiscuous Girl? and drumming on ?No Hay Iguai?. This album quite clearly removes any preconceived ideas you might have about the Canadian artist, who has taken a huge step forward by somehow taking a step back and drawing massively from the past, especially the 1980s.
