I don't know.. but I think I agree with what they did there. If they flew back just to leave the woman with her child in the airport, I guess its because he really wasn't just normally crying. For what I could understand, the child was desperate for some reason and I think it was the right thing to do to let him calm down in the airport and get a new flight later.
Not only for his own sake, but also because its really uncomfortable for anyone to fly with someone screaming and crying like that.

The flight attendants could have handled it better. To quote the late, GREAT George Carlin:
"It's just one more way of reducing your liberty and reminding you that they can fuck with you any time they want, as long as you put up with it. As long as you put up with it........which means of course: Any time they want!" So gas prices are up, airport security is out of control. We're running out of options. Damn you Bush.
