Well I was just wondering what Nelly says in her last single in the bridge just before the lines "Closer to the sky,closer way up high"..I'm italian and even if I can figure out what the chorus says without translation this part is still a mistery for me...

Umm... I don't really know what part you're referring too.
Are you talking about the radio edit or the cd version? Because in the radio edit she doesn't sing closer to the sky, she just sings 'Mais perto do ceu"

you've written the part I was referring to
 'Mais perto do ceu" is the line I couldn't get the sense of... In the album version she says both and in the radio one too..isn't'it? |

Well I didn't understand it either in the beginning, and neither did my boyfriend (who's actually portuguese lol). He couldn't really figure out what she said. I thought she only sang "mais perto do ceu" in the radio edit, I just listened to it again and I didn't hear a closer to the sky. Could be mistaken, though!

Well then we just have to wait other portuguese opinions
Maybe the video version and the radio one are different,who knows! I don't have the radio version so I can't be sure about what I said and probably you're right.. I remember when they first said that Forca would have been the Euro04 official song, they also said that Nelly would have record it again all in portuguese. I think that the label just decided to put more portuguese in the final radio version.. |

I thought that "mais perto do ceu" had the same meaning that "closer to the sky"
