Whoa, Nelly! By a million miles, basically, Whoa blew my mind, I was obsessed, like, unhealthily lol well I'd never gotten into an album as much as that before, where I'd sit + analyse everything + pick up on new things everytime I heard it, I could listen to it a trillion times + it wouldn't get stale, now, I haven't listened to it in a while but, when I eventually do put it on again, it's still gonna sound fresh to my ears but, don't shoot me down for this but, Folklore, well let's just say that if that had been her debut then I doubt I'd even be a bitser, it's not a bad album but, I think, that she couldn't live up to the expectations that her fans had after waiting so long for it, yeah, I raved about it when it came out, had a mini obsession w/it but, really, now I've had time to digest it, it's hasn't really moved on since Whoa, if anything, it's regressed, I miss the quirky phrases + the unusual music, I think that it's the musical equivalent of meat + potatoes, it's filling but, not really something you'd get excited about, I think, lyrically, she's simplified them, maybe she ran out of ideas or just got tired of thinking, I don't know, there are stand out tracks that I love like One Trick Pony + Try but, well, as a whole, I'm over it + the whole immigrant theme, in my opinion, is way over the top, I realise that the album has to have a theme to pull it all together but, does she really have to stress about it + shove it down our throats at every opportunity? Like I said, don't shoot me down, it's only an opinion but, I'm going w/Whoa, Nelly!
