Finally the FARC hostages were liberated

After months of a hard "information interchange" that the venezuelan goverment and a Colombian Senator had with the Colombian rebels, they've finally freed two of the more than 700 hostages they have at the moment.

Saying the Rebels are saints now is completely bullshit, they've built a terror empire in Colombia, and that's what they want to do in the rest of Latin America. I'm like ALMOST sure, Chavez paid, and a really big quantity of money, just for him not to feel ridiculous and to ridiculize the Colombian Goverment, who have been treated of traitor and server of the USA.

The 2 hostages freed, are two women, who had 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 years kidnapped, and one of them, even had kid in the jungle, product, of course of the rape of one of the colombian rebels.

Now Chavez has said this is the beggining of the peace in Colombia, which for me, is totally idiot... the FARC's won't do anything in change of anything, they just want to have more money and to be respected for being mean. I don't think that liberating 2 hostages out of more than 700 is a big step, but of course, a reason to celebrate.

One curious thing, is that they were brought to Caracas (the Venezuelan Capital), because the FARC's said that's how they wanted it, so all the credit will be indeed, in Chavez name now, just like he loves it.

Anyway Colombia has still 700 more reasons to keep on the fight against the terrorism, it's incredibly horrible to imagine that amount of people that have been kidnapped by those people for such a big quantity of time.

Re: Finally the FARC hostages were liberated

yeah luckily these two women were freed and they can be in a safier place, at least...

but i'm sure, i mean i think everybody is sure that they've had suffering enough during all these years...

i'm also the opinion of that the people who have believed that this liberation could mean the beginning of the peace in Colombia, because first Colombia's civil war started in the middle of 60's (i guess) and we are in 2008, there are people who still being kidnapped by the rebels, and this is trully worrying...

and like i know about cases in some latin americas which had some terrorist groups that had kidnapped people, raped women and young girls (at times), that dropped bombs in the streets, like Peru and Paraguay, and fortunately both of these countries could resolve, they could surpass all those dark years in their recent history...

but i think chavez has been having a mean attitude (typicall from him), everytime he criticizes and insults Ulribe (calling him traitor), because that chubby president might forget that there are a lot of people who are suffering, who are very far away from their homes, from their beloved people, while he is spending his time speaking ill of ulribe...

so i hope the same will happen to colombia, we don't know a date though... but let's have some faith in it...

who knows

I also hope that, but I really don't see this as the beggining of it...

Sadly, I'm sure I'm right about that...

Oh and yesterda, they interrupted the normal TV Programation to put the story of Clara Rojas about how she had her son in the jungle and stuff, and since she was kidnapped for 6 and a half years, it was a really long story

Re: Finally the FARC hostages were liberated

Geez, I lived in that time in Colombia (late 90s) and we were actually kidnapped, but luckily! not by the FARCS....

It's good to know that they're free, perhaps it's the beginning of the process to liberate all the other hostages...
