Instead of a huge list, I'll give some extra info about the music I listened most to in 2007.
Classical:
- Chopin, I started listening to his music this year, my favourites are both his piano concerts, and the Ballade no.1 (which is also in the movie "The pianist").
- The "Petite Messe Solennelle", a musical mass composed by Gioacchino Rossini in 1864
Dance:
-"Compilation Benessere", a compilation mix by Gigi d'Agostino, many songs of his own and some of other artists. Averagely very melodic and with a firm beat, the way I like it
Jazz:
-My favourite 'new song': "Body and Soul" sung by Billie Holiday

Finally some songs you will know
KT Tunstall - Suddenly I see
Rihanna Rihannoceros - Please don't stop the music (honestly!)
What's his name again - Relax take it eeeeaaaasy

Re: Favourite songs of 2007

AWW ...that ballade of chopin in the Pianist is....undescribable! I absoloutely love it.

But...hey, that's not valid! We're talking 'bout 2007 songs! I doubt Chopin was involved in the 2007 movement of music!

Re: Favourite songs of 2007

my top 10 songs of 2007 =]

Love is a losing game by amy winehouse (a soulful ballad by Amy, in my opinion, her best single yet)

boyz by M.I.A.( it's just a massive explosion of music with an awesome beat)

paper planes by M.I.A. (gun sounds, cash register noisew, and the lyrics! how more original can u get?)

drivin' me wild by Common ft. Lily Allen( drum beats are friggin addicting, plus lily allens voice and the lyrical content brings out a message )

If I had Eyes by Jack Johnson.(Jack Johnson is awesome.period. very new sound i think, but the same amazing voice)

International Player's Anthem by UKG ft. Outkast ( wow, probably the best rap/hiphop song of the year!, the beats, the chorus....wow)

Beach Chair by JayZ ft Chris Martin (another great hip hop track)

Gotta Work Remix by Amerie Ft. Collie Buddz (this track is 1 Thing meets Crazy in Love, wut more do u want?)

Valerie by Mark Ronson ft Amy Winhouse (a little repetitive but another great track form amy winehouse)

1234 by Feist (hahahaha, the ipod commercial song. yeah i discovered this on IMF just like most tracks in this list looooong before the commercial. i thought this has to be the happiest song of the year)

The commercial made me love the song and even download the cd. I had never heard of Feist before.
