who is the best band people have seen live? I saw the polyphonic spree last nite and they would have to be up there, even if your not really into the music it's such an amazing communal experience watching them, like everyones on prozac, wonderful stuff. other than the spree, the manics, embrace, flaming lips and of course nelly would have to be up there too. it's just the atmosphere of polyphonic spree gigs makes them that bit more special. and of course some of the ladies are v nice to look at, not that I was...

1. Swollen Members
2. Black Eyed Peas 3. Amiel 4. Pete Murray 5. Cat Empire 6. Jurassic 5 7. P!nk Nelly isn't in the list for the simple reason that I hardly remember the performance, I remember being heaps excited but all I remember of her on stage was her being down in the front of the crowd getting people to sing the "myself" part of SOTR and I was really jealous that all those people were so close! lol Ask me again after the next tour *fingers crossed*

One of the best live bands I've seen so far is No Doubt, no doubt (pun intended)! I also saw Dashboard Confessional live last month.
I have also seen individual singers perform live, such as Fefe Dobson and Sarai. |

Muse is the best live band I've ever heard. Better than Nelly Furtado (sorry to say), although she is pretty good.
Metallica is quite good too.

The best shows would have to be heavy bands for sure. They just can't be beat for the atmosphere.
Tool I was a long way back for but I think it would have been the best had I been closer and right in it. The show was just great. The screen has a collection of their music videos with heaps heaps more. Like they all interjoin and everything. It's a show in itself. Also there's acrobatics and all sorts of wacky stuff too haha. A Perfect Circle was my favourite because of the atmosphere I'd say. I got pretty much right to the front and it was just a big ball of squished fans all hot and sweating like crazy but just fixed on the stage taking in the music. If they had've played Orestes I wouldn've just died there I think haha. I saw Korn, Static X and Fear Factory together. That was greeeaat. Again wasn't very close but the performances were outstanding. Except for Fear Factory. They were just ass lol. Static X was probably the best. I'd recommend seeing them live to anyone. Really get into the show. Korn was just great to hear them do all the songs I'd loved from over the years live. So even though they weren't brilliant they were very enjoyable. Unwritten Law deserve a mention cause that show was just awesome. I hardly remember it I was so hammered though haha. My white shirt was red and brown just covered in blood and I didn't even know how lol...I mean it wasn't mine and I didn't see anyone else bleeding and I was wearing my pad. Grinspoon are always great live too. I haven't liked their last few albums. I haven't really liked them since the first EP and Guide For Better Living actually. They're just great live though and it's great to hear them do their better old stuff. Very first time I saw them was at a Silverchair concert and all I knew was Champion. The most recent show I've seen is Missy Higgins. It can be pretty damn emotional to hear her sing some of the songs live if you're a big fan.
