Favourite Life Story Involving Nelly Furtado

OK Guys sit down, because Uncle Ricky has an uncharacteristly long story to tell you guys

The Football Final

I come from a small school with no real emphasis on the athletics, just focused on the education. This came as a huge bummer to me, having a lot of talent and coming from public school. My final year at that school was different, however, as our school was finally competing in an actual leauge against other schools. We were not looked at as a strong opponent, with only like 4 quality players. I was the big star on the team, I really brought out the best in the others. So being the star, I got my choice of what music was played when I made a big play, which was very often. Being a Nelly Furtado fan since her debut in 2000 it was often I'm Like a Bird when I made a big interception or a long touchdown (I played Defensive Back and Quarterback), but if I made a big tackle it was Turn Off The Lights, if not those two Forca was played. After a big win, the end to Explode was played. that's all beside the point, we were a huge shock, only losing 2 games, winning 3 playoff games to go to the finals against the 6 straight champion. No one expected us to score, but we jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. By halftime however, we were getting waxed 34-7. I rallyed at halftime by listening to ILAB on my iPod, gave a speech, and came out to shut them down early in the second half, coming back to 34-20. After another interception, I came out to throw a 83 yard touchdown pass to bring it 34-27, and as I looked over at where our fans were sitting, all of the students were shouting "Forca! Forca!" I was just stunned, I started to cry, and felt as if nothing could stop me, and we came back to win in overtime 40-34.

So after sharing this story with you guys (I'm new, I hope you'll welcome me) I was curious to know what your favourite stories that involve Nelly that you will remember for a lifetime.

wow, that is quite an inspirational story. I've had quite a few proud accomplishments with sports (such as winning the fastball provincials in BC and placing 4th in all of western canada), unfortunately none of them have involved nelly furtado. I listen to nelly though on my discman as a warm up, and a way of preparing myself mentally. her music is such an inspiration to me.... so I guess in a way she has been with me in spirit. and hey I'm kinda new too... so hi everyone.
