The end of our world . . .

Oh people calm down Its not the end. . . Yet
Well with the way sociaty continues on it is

Heres something so touching i heard a grade primary say

The teacher told her

"This animal is not wise or clever"
The little girl replied
"Well it doesnt destroy our earth like we do "

Can u beleave a primary would say something like that? primary! Like omg if they kno our planets in trouble then it is for sure

So if this keeps up i give our planet till 3000 Or acctually 2800
But if we clean up our act maybe till 5000 at most
But humans arent going to clean up their act some have but some just isint enough

ANy thoughts on this?
Dont wanna bring anyone sorrow just wanna talk about it

Well yes we are destroying the earth. It is horrible and we should start acting against it right now.

Re: The end of our world . . .

I understand you completely. It fills me with so much sorrow to see what's happening to the world. And it is so discouraging to see people in the media discredit global warming, when there has been no winter in a lot of places, trees are blooming as we speak in Washington DC, in the middle of January for God's sake!!!

If things don't change right now, by 2040 all commercially-exploited fish will be finished, eating fish will be either a luxury or nearly impossible. And the Earth will be so warm that the poles will melt completely during the summer months. I saw An Incovenient Truth, and they said there that if the poles melt New York and the Netherlands will be under water, but that also means that all the beaches in the world will be flooded. Can you imagine a world without beaches, without fish? And Europe would get colder, it would be like a new Ice Age over there. And I have read in National Geographic that these things could happen in 10 years...

That's certainly NOT the world I want to live in, and not the world I want for my children, if I ever have them. But reversing that takes ALL of us. We have to start making sacrifices: turning off lights, not driving so much, using public transportation, planting trees, recycling. If we don't do voluntary, small sacrifices like these, we will have to make enormous sacrifices in the future. If all of the coasts around the world are flooded, where would those millions of people go? Cities would get even more crowded.

It's up to us, to keep our home or die out with it.

Yeah it's sad to see how people are just so lazy and don't give a shit. We're quite self-fish, if you think about it.. But like I suggested before, we can all live 'under the seaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'!! *plays the crab xylophones again*

Re: The end of our world . . .

I think both the teacher and the girl are right
Destroying may be a bit exaggerated, but it?s true we?re doing harm to nature.
But thinking other animals are more intelligent than we are because they don?t destroy earth like we do is flipping cause and consequence. It?s not that the thought of "oh we should be careful with this earth" makes them act different from how we act. They obviously don?t have the capability to destroy earth, one needs to be intelligent to do so. (intelligence = capability, being smart = how you use it)
Anyhow, it?s good enough for a greenpeace demonstration I obviously don?t like greenpeace, but let?s not start a discussion about that, haha
