Deterioration Of Thought

The absence of frailty
And fatal distance of time
Left the ominous signs abounding
In our minds.
With the scandal of darkness
Recessed by midnight
You reached to touch beyond me
At the thought of seeing hello
But found deterioration of thoughts
And only shadow.
There was a fluid flow of silence below our feet
And seemingly endless feelings that abounded
From the distasteful fires that burnt on the side of the road
Where the moths gathered in seances.
The scabrous light reminded us of the coldness in the air
While it approached us from behind
Like a vengeful spectre
With a sudden freezing note in it's heart.
The abrupt shadows moved hastily along the ground
And the surrounding cold kept us frozen
In a reality of darkness and night.
