I agree the animals should definitely be taken away to ensure no further abuse is done, but like neltado brought up, where would they go? Its an unfortunate situation for the poor animals but unfortunatley thats the way some people are.

People who abuse animals should face a fine and possibly gaol time. Especially as it's shown that cruelty to animals can lead to attacks on humans. Perhaps early punishment could lead to deter them.
