Diana if you don't know why these freaks are testing on animals, I suggest you search Google and try to find out why There are a million sites about it, but only the ones that state both the pro's and con's are valuable. Hopefully they will also state all the things that you will have to give up if you oppose all animal testing in general, in order not to be found a hypocrite my me
Animal testing is used to discover and/or quantify the reactions of the mammal to all kinds of (possible) toxic substances, in order to roughly (factor 10 for mouse-human differences and another factor 10 for human-individual differences) estimate what the limits should be for use in humans. These substances can be medicines, but also cosmetics. The tests can range from skin reaction tests to general organ toxicity tests, and may also include eye tests which often look horrible to those who are very sympathetic towards animals. Other con's are the ethical question whether we are allowed to treat animals that way, that it's quite expensive, and that test animals aren't humans (hence the factors). Currently, global research labs and governments are investing a lot in alternatives to animal testing, e.g. computer models, organ/tissue/cell culture testing. All these tests however, even combined, are not as valuable as animal testing, yet they may become so in a few years or decades.
The pro for animal testing is quite obvious (I'll exaggerate) :its goal is to prevent that you will be dead tomorrow because of the peanutbutter you ate today, because of the lipstick you bought, because of the pill you took for (or rather against) your toe infection, etc.
I think animal testing should be reduced to a minimum, but I think this minimum should not be zero, since there is no scientifically better way than animal testing. Except, of course, testing on humans
So that's my view. I hope you don't think it's too one-sided, and I hope that it's clear that there's a lot of discussion about this topic in the science world and that there may be some real cruel scientists who torture their test animals for no reason, but they're as rare as proper pop music At least in the 1st-world they are.

they shut down WinMX which is similar to limewire, i think theyre planning to shut down limewire some time in the future too, so i better make the most of it!

if limewire goes down, then a new one will take its place. Then it will take months, maybe even years for the legal process to do it all over again to take that new one down. Rest assured, downloading music will never go away
