I'm sure you all know about how it was recorded in a church etc etc. Anyone notice how, especially in the 2nd verse, you can hear her voice echoing b/c yea... it was recorded in a church.
I just thought that was sort of interesting

Hi Guys, this is my first post ever on BITS, and I have been in love with Nelly Furtado's music ever since Whoa Nelly.
Childhood Dreams is such a beautiful and passionate song that really captures the beauty of being in love. I didn't like it at first, but it definitely grew on me. The church organs are so powerful and I love when the drums come in and later, towards the end, when she sings "When you carry me (2x)......it's so happy", I just melt everytime I hear her sing those words. In her voice and lyrics you can feel how truly happy and thankful she is to have this love in her life, and it only adds to the sincerity of the song. Sorry for the really long post, but Nelly's music is just so amazing; it's really inspiring and meaningful, and it's like nothing I've ever heard. |
