Caught live: Nelly Furtado

THERE was no elaborate set, no expensive light show and no outrageous costumes.
Instead, NELLY FURTADO?s show on Wednesday night was simply a showcase for a true star.
The songbird ? who picked up Best International Female at last week?s Brit awards ? had the audience dancing in the aisles with her up-tempo blend of hip-hop and reggae beats.
Dressed in a purple mini dress, Nelly kicked off the show with tracks from hit album Loose.
She also proved she could stray from her Latino roots, hitting the high notes during big ballad Showtime.
A few irritating backing dancers got in the way now and then, but the star got the show back on track with an exceptional encore.
Emerging for the finale in a white tassled frock, Nelly created a carnival-like atmosphere with Spanish track No Hay Igual and last year?s No1 Maneater.
Judging by the fans? reaction, everyone was hungry for more.

I was there!!! She was amazing! My first time seeing her and now I wanna get all her albums and see here again! Loved all of it! Does anybody have any info about the support acts? Unclejam? (I think) were amazing! What a night!

Love the whole night! She was incredible! I'm gonna head out to the shops tomo to get her albums coz my bf only has them on his computer. Just downloaded the Unklejam single - I found them www.myspace/unklejam. There's pics from the night on another thread too!

i knew nelly shouldnt have hired those crappy back up dancers! stuff the dancers strut ur stuff in a white dress with the ultimate blend of R&B and Pop songs and youll have everyone hungry for more!
